Remaking Omo

The artist Scherezade Garcia wanted to create an abstract adaptation of the Body Art the people of the Omo Valley make everyday. First, you see her beautiful image of an African girl and then she recreates the painting with her take on body painting. This medium of the first work is acrylic,charcoal and ink.

It was important for the artist to have viewers watch the process so that they can appreciate how this art can evolve in so many different ways.

The finally layering of the work. This overlay is acetate and acrylic.
